Albert Edward Burrows, Jr., born on May 5, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his home in the Berea Community, on November 12, 2024. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather beloved by his family and friends alike.

Al, a tool and die-maker, enjoyed a fulfilling career characterized by his skilled craftsmanship and deep love for tools. He had an innate ability to work on anything and shared his talents with family and friends. He retired in 1998 after an extended career in Industrial Sales. 

He served honorably in the Air Force, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that would stay with him throughout his life. This service shaped his character and instilled the values of integrity and hard work that he cherished and passed on to his loved ones.

Albert is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Patricia Mae Dixon Burrows. Together, they raised a loving family, including their children: Dawn Eileen Burrows Carden (Frank Blusiewicz), David Edward Burrows (Keith Arnold), Allison Burrows Parrott (Tracy), and Alan John Burrows (Naomi). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Marie Kovach (James), Thomas Carden Jr, Frank Blusiewicz Jr, Brandi Blusiewicz, Evan Parrott (Katie), Graham Parrott, Noah Parrott, Landon Parrott, Leah Parrott, Lincoln Burrows, and Delancy Burrows, as well six great-grandchildren: Jacinda Carden, Ashton Kovach, Tayten Kovach, Grady Kovach, Adelyn Parrott, and Nora Kate Parrott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Edward Burrows and Martha Davis Burrows, and his sister, Eileen Gregg Earnest.

A memorial service celebrating Al’s life will be held on November 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at 503 College St, Oxford, NC 27565. Friends and family are invited to gather in honor of a remarkable man whose memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to the Ruritan Club of Clarksville. Donations may be sent to Clarksville Ruritans, Inc at PO Box 44, Clarksville, VA, 23927.
