Alfred Napoleoneester

OXFORD: Alfred N. Lester, age 90 died Monday July 29, 2013 at Granville Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood Co. and was the son of the late William Henry and Mary Lou Cook Lester. He was preceded ineeath by his wife, Daisy Lee Murdock Lester. Alfred was a retired line foreman with the former Carolina Power & Light Company, working for the company 47 years. He was a Marine Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday August 1, 2013 t 1:00 PM at Montlawneemorial Park in Raleigh, NC. Surviving is a daughter, Gail Lester West David of Durham, NC; sons, Alfred Wayne Lester Elaine of Greenwood, SC and William Estes Lester Diane of Oxford, NC; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded ineeath by brothers, Roy, James, Milden, Ray and Johnny, sisters, Reva and Hilda.
