Alice H. Lipe

Mrs. Alice Hochuli Lipe, 97, peacefully went upstairs to be with her Savior on Tuesday morning, February 28, 2006 at her home on Wake Forest Highway.

Mrs. Lipe was born in Switzerland to the late Walter and Berta Suder Hochuli. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday school class.

Mrs. Lipe was the widow of the Reverend G. Fred Lipe, former pastor of Olive Branch Baptist Church, who died January 1, 1970.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, from Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Weatherly and Rev. Dr. Gerald Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Baptist Church cemetery.

Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Daneedman, Billy Nance, Paul Nance, George Ray, Jr., Conee Carden, Dick May, John Clayton, Jeff Melvin and Daniel Jackola.

Flowers are acceptable or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Homebound Fund, 414 Cleveland Street, Durham, NC 27701.
