Alice Ruth Cole

Alice Ruth Cole July 15, 1927 ~ April 2, 2011 Alice Ruth Cole, 83, died Saturday, April 2, at her home in the Pittsboro Christian Village. Mrs. Cole was born in Angola, Africa. She devoted her life to being a missionary and sharing the love and grace of her Lord. Alice loved gardening aneenjoyed playing the piano and the autoharp. Alice is survived by her husband, Calvin Cole; two sons, John Cole of Holly Springs and Paul Cole of Massachusetts; two daughters, Deborah Bourque of Massachusetts and Rebecca Bennett of Massachusetts; two brothers, Frank Albert Horton of Switzerland and Robert Paul Horton of Illinois. Alice was preceded ineeath by her father, Albert Edgett Horton; mother, Petronella Wolf Horton; and, sister Lois Horton. The funeral service for Alice Cole will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 6 at Pittsboro Brethren Assembly on the grounds of Pittsboro Christian Village with Rev. Gerald Baker, Jr. presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00pm until 1:45 pm Wednesday at Pittsboro Christian Village.
