Alvineenton Light

ALVIneeNTON "AL" LIGHT OXFORD- Alvineenton "Al" Light passed away on January 9, 2009 at Duke Medical Center. He was born in Nolan County, Texas on October 18, 1921. He was the son of the late Alvin and Leota Montgomery Light. Mr. Light was a member of Hester Baptist Church and a former Deacon of Hester Baptist Church. He was employed by Contractors Unlimited Inc. of Oxford and was a former employee of Black Industries of Durham. Mr. Light was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Air Force. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday in the Gentry-neell & Vaughan by Dr. Lovelle Waters and the Rev. Leslie Giles. Burial will be ineester Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Frances Hargett Light ; sons, Jimmy Light Dwan of Zebulon, Robert LightAllysn and Jerry LightNancy all of Oxford; daughter, Betty H. Baynes of Oxford; five grandsons, three granddaughters and four great grandchildren; a sister Mary L. PickensCharles of Tyler, Texas. He was preceded ineeath by his first wife, Ruby B. Light in 1990 and a sister, Opal A. Light. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
