Aneew "Drew" Paul Bratton, 68, of Fearrington Village, NC, died February 19, 2011 of heart disease at home. Drew was born June 28, 1942 in Baltimore, MD and grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI, one of four children of Aneew C. Bratton, Jr., MD, PhD, who worked ineesearch for Parke-Davis, and Marianeeuerstein Bratton, a registered nurse. Drew graduated from Eastern Michigan Uneersity with a business degree in marketing. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi professional fraternity. Drew married his college sweetheart, Mary Elizabeth Conrad, in 1965. After working for one year in salary administration for the Uneersity of Michigan, Drew began a 34-year career with Owens-Illinois, Inc. A series of promotions took them to Brecksville, OH, Rochester, NY, Boston, MA, Saddle Brook, NJ, New York City, where his office was in the Chrysler Office Building, and finally to the company's home office in Toledo, OH, where he was Commercial Development Maneer for the International Division. He traveled extensively for the next 20 years, doing business in South and North America, Asia and the Pacific Rim, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, and the Middle East, Scandinavia, the British Isles, South Africa, and the former Soviet Republics. After Drew and Mary moved to Fearrington Village in 1998, Drew was director of his own company, Resource Marketing, and sold plastic and closure products for several large companies around the world. At the time of his death he was employed as Sales Maneer for Pro-Green Company located in RTP. Drew was an avid cyclist, putting over 5000 miles on his bicycle every year. He toured many southern states with groups of cyclists. In the spring of 2007 he cycled across the Uneed States from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL. He also tutored students ineeading at the local elementary schools. He enjoyed classical music and art. Drew was an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Family in Chapel Hill, NC. Drew is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary, daughter and son-in-law Laura Riley and Patrick Forner of San Antonio, TX, daughter Rebecca Murray Cochran of Corpus Christi, TX, and four grandchildren , Sean Patrick and Claire Elizabeth Forner and Benjamin William and Dylan Adam Cochran. Services are scheduled for Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Church of the Holy Family, 100 Hayes Road, Chapel Hill, with a reception to follow at the church.
