Anna Lee Hintoneetter, 91, died peacefully ineer sleep Thursday morning after an extended decline ineealth. Anna was born ineeedville, VA to the late Richard Howard and Mary Johnson Hinton. Born October 18, 1921 she grew up on coastal Virginia. After graduating Averett College and Duke School of Nursing she married and shortly afterwards relocated to the Durham area for the rest of her life where she was active in Yates Baptist Church. Her desire to care for others drew her back to a nursing career at Duke until her retirement when she turned her focus to her grandchildren and gardening. Anna is survived by her daughter Mary Pierce and husband Bill of Durham, NC; son Richard W. Fetter and wife May of Chapel Hill, NC; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister Mary Lou Hinton Crowther and husband Prosser of Reedville, VA. She was preceded ineeath by her husband Dr. Bernard F. Fetter, daughter Kathryn Greco and son Edward Fetter. Anna is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be offered 1:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2012 from Yates Baptist Church, 2819 Chapel Hill Road Durham, NC 27707. Friends may visit from 4:00 7:00 on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701. Friends may also visit one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Anna's nee may be made to the Durham Rescue Mission, 507 East Knox Street, Durham, NC 27701.
