Anne Louise Barnhardt Mincey

Anne Louise Barnhardt Mincey, 82, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Anne was born in Durham, NC to the late Max Lloyd and Pauline Bullington Barnhardt on January 30, 1930. Anne was a loving mother and friend to anyone that she had the opportunity to come in contact with. Anne worked in Durham at Duke Uneersity as a housing maneer. Anne was also a graduate of Duke Uneersity. Anne was an avid reader, loved the beach and most of all she had a tremendous love for her canee companion Lucy. "She was a loving woman that would do anything to put a smile on the faces of her family and friends." Anne is survived by her daughters Lou Mincey of Durham, NC, Liz Mincey of Durham, NC; son Warren "Rusty" Mincey, Jr. and wife Betsy of Yanceyville, NC; three grandchildren Scott Mincey, Drew Mincey, and Lucas Mincey, two great-grandchildren Carmeron Lucas Mincey and Caleb Mincey. Anne is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded ineeath by her husband Warren Mincey, Sr and her brother Max Barnhardt. A Graveside service will be offered 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2012 from Maplewood Cemetery, 1621 Duke Uneersity Road Durham, NC 27701. The family will greet friends immediately following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Anne's nee may be made to the Hospice at The Meadowlands, 1001 Corporate Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
