Anne Webster Davis

DURHAM-Anne Webster Davis of Durham passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015. She was born to the late Gifford and Helen Davis, neember 10, 1936 in Durham, NC. Anne attended Warren Wilson College in Asheville. She was a lifelong resident of Durham and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Anne was loved dearly by her family, and she was loyal and loving to her family and friends. She learned Spanish from her father and loved telling stories of living in Spain with her parents on sabbatical. Many happy summers were spent with extended family and friends enjoying the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the cottage in Gorham, the rock at the farm in Turner, Sandy Bottom Pond, the coast of Maine, and so many other wonderful places ineew England. Anne loved cats, painting, and crocheting. She enjoyed her writing group at Croasdaile Village and wrote essays on family stories as well as her own experiences. Anne was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Davis Usher. She is survived by her nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces and cousins. No formal services are planned. A private family service will be held to celebrate Anne's life. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to First Presbyterian Church, 305 E.
