Asuncion Toledo Cruz

DURHAM Ms. Asuncion "Siony" Toledo Cruz, 75, of 1508 Carrickfergus Ct., passed on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ oneeptember 16, 2011 at Meadowlands Hospice Home in Hillsborough. Born in the Philippines on August 15, 1936 she acquired her Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics at the Philippine Women's Uneersity. She migrated to the US in 1975 and worked at Duke Uneersity Medical Center in the Dietary Department. She was well loved in the Filipino-American community. She was also a devoted member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She is survived by brothers and sisters: Frank, Dory, Chris, Nina, Manny, Rolando, and Lolita; nieces and nephews: Marylou and Doh, neette, Leny and Luz, Mary-Ann and Jay, Micole and Anee, Roda and Jamie, Ronee and Rowena; graneephews and grandnieces: Dominick, Doreen, Donnel, Joshua, Jade, Jacob, Nikki, Kevin, Cristian, Aneea, Mateo, and Luis. She was preceded ineeath by her parents Eufemio and Venancia, and sister Pat. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 920 Carmichael Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Burial will follow in Markham Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-8 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
