Augusta Gus Wilson High

God needed many beautiful flowers in his garden, so he picked the most beautiful of all on January 24, 2010 when Augusta Wilson "Gus" High, 95, passed away. Gus was born in Durham, NC daughter of the late George W. and Nancy Mangum Wilson and the widow of the late J.H. "Jimbo" High, Sr. She retired from Burlington Mills and lived for many years at the Brianeenter where she made was a friend to everyone she met. Surviving are her daughter, Billie H. Grissom; daughter-in-law, Shelby Lowe; one sister, Margie Ellise; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, eight sisters and two grandsons. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with the Rev. Forest Gale officiating. Burial will follow in Lowe's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery beside her husband and sons. Friends may visit one hour before to the service oneednesday.
