Barbara Jean Boyd

Barbara Jean Boyd, born on December 24, 1935, in Granville County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Franklin County, North Carolina. She lived a life filled with love for her family, friends and community.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Drewery W. Boyd and Annie Mae Boyd. She also had a beloved sister, Irene Boyd, who predeceased her. Throughout her life, Barbara valued the relationships that shaped her, and she brought joy to everyone around her.

She leaves behind her nephew, Larry Allen Boyd, who adored his aunt and will carry her memory in his heart. Barbara also had the privilege of being surrounded by dear friends, including Mae White and Shirley Ellington, who served as both a companion and caretaker, providing unwavering support during her later years. Additionally, she shared a strong bond with Juanita and Bruce Ellington, who also offered their love and care.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to honor Barbara's life on October 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM, located at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bullock, North Carolina.

Barbara Jean Boyd will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of many. Her legacy of kindness and friendship will continue to shine through those who loved her dearly.
