Barbara Thomas Daniel

OXFORD: Barbara T. Daniel of Oxford, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Granville, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Aileen Yancey Thomas and was the widow of Allen T. Daniel. Barbara was a retired bookkeeper with the Granville County Board of Education, a member of Enon Baptist Church and a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Enon Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Brown and Rev. James C. Shelley, Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service. Surviving is a daughter, Diane D. Lester of Oxford; a son, Allen T. Daniel, Jr. of Rockwell; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
