Bessie Fuller Evans

Franklinton Bessie Fuller Evans, age 90, died on August 5, 2019 at Brantwood Nursing and Rehabilitationeenter. She was the daughter of the late Grady Fuller aneeunee Hayes Fuller.?? Bessie was born in Franklin County oneecember 26, 1928 and resided in Franklin and Granville County for many prosperous years with her late husband, William Lee Evans. Bessie was a homemaker and was dedicated to her family.?? She loved her home and always had open doors, lots of love, and plenty of food for anyone who came.?? She had a humble yet strong spirit and loved her church. Bessie is survived by her daughter, Jean Boone (Steve) of Butner, NC; her brother, John E. Fuller; her sister, Lucy B. Fuller; four loving grandchildren, Holly Jean Strother, Heather Lea Strother, Kimberly Evans Hardy, Brianeee Evans; and six adoring great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by neerous loving friends and family. Bessie was preceded ineeath by her parents; her husband of 56 years, William Lee; her sons William David Evans and Barry Lee Evans; and three siblings. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, Oxford, NC. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Popes Chapel Christian Church, 1237 Pocomoke Drive, Franklinton, NC; officiated by Rev. Don Ward. ??Family will receive guests at other times at Jean???s home.
