Betsy Howard Williams

OXFORD: Betsy Howard Williams, age 70, passed away Thursday, March 05, 2015 at Duke Medical Center after a long period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Alice Hester Howard. Betsy was a member of Enon Baptist Church and attended Fuller???s Business School. She retired after 30 years with Granville County Social Services. After her retirement she enjoyed painting and attending art classes at Vance Granville Community College and keeping her grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at Enon Baptist Church by Reverend Steve Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:30 ??? 8:00 pm at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, James Robert Williams; her son, Robert ???Bob??? Williams (Diane); two grandchildren, Hunter Thomas Williams and Ashton Morgan Williams; a brother, William ???Bill??? Thomas Howard (Nancy); nieces, great nieces; one aunt and many cousins.
