Betty Jane Crabtree

Durham- Betty Dollar Crabtree, age 86, passed away on April 4, 2022. On April 17, 1935, she was born in Mebane to the late Harry C. Dollar, Sr., and Annie R. Dollar.

Betty was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Durham, NC. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family and close friends dearly, and her “boys.”

Betty and her late husband, Herbert Crabtree, shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Betty enjoyed working as a teacher assistant for many years at Easley Elementary School and Gorman Christian School in Durham.

Betty is survived by her brother, Donald E. Dollar, and wife, Priscilla.

In addition to her husband, Betty was predeceased by her son, Martin Lee, and son Herbert Martin.

The family would like to thank friends and family that helped Betty over these past few years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8, 2022, in Oakwood Cemetery, Mebane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Edgewood Baptist Church “Awana Club” at 1807 Infinity Rd, Durham, NC 27712.
