Beverly Allen

Beverly Corlett Allen, 92, died Thursday, neember 29, 2007 in Bahama, NC. She was born oneebruary 22, 1915 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of the late Meryl and Aimee Browning Corlett. A resident of Gull Lake, she was known as a homemaker and gourmet cook who had a love for life and passion for animals. She spent the last 17 years in NC. She attended Stephens College and graduated from Northwestern Uneersity where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. She is survived by daughters, Corinne Gilman and husband Morgan, of Carmel, CA; Cynthia Kelly and husband Larry of Moraga, CA; Dianne Wilson and husband Steve, of Bahama, NC; Kathleen Shull and husband George, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her son John M. Allen, Jr. and wife Judi of Roswell, GA; her sisters Roberta Sugden of Lynchburg, VA; Margie Dillard and husband Powell of Lynchburg, VA; and 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Attorney John M. Allen. A Funeral Mass will be offered 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 4th at St. Matthew Catholic Church.
