Beverly Sue Jones

On the 27th of May 2024, our beloved Beverly Sue Jones departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that touched the lives of many. Born on the 12th of February 1963, in Vance County, North Carolina, Beverly’s journey was one defined by love and compassion.

Beverly dedicated her professional life as a Sales Associate at various local pharmacies including Mass Drug, CVS, Walgreens, and more. She was a lifetime member of Tungsten Baptist Church.  Beverly’s commitment to serving others reflected her innate spirit of generosity and care.

Described as friendly, warm, and loving by those who knew her best, Beverly's presence brought light into every room she entered. Her smile was infectious, her laughter heartwarming, and her hugs comforting. Beverly had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and cherished.

In her passing, Beverly is reunited with her father, William Warren Anthony, mother, Mary Belle Pittman Anthony, daughter, Sherry Jones Abbott, sister, Carolyn Keeton, and brother, Harold Anthony. Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family including her husband of 44 years, Samuel W. Jones, daughter, Jenny Luffman, son-in-law, Stephen Luffman, grandchildren, Jasper, Amelia, Olivia, and Kyle. She is also survived by her sisters, Wilma Champion and Gail Reid, brother, Donald Anthony, and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

A visitation will be held in honor of Beverly Sue Jones on the 30th of May at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, 503 College St in Oxford from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The burial will take place at Royster Cemetery in Bullock starting at 3:15 PM.

Though we mourn the loss of Beverly from our lives today, we take solace in knowing that she is now at peace. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever as we hold dear the moments shared with this remarkable soul who touched so many with her love.

May we find comfort in each other's company as we celebrate the beautiful life of Beverly Sue Jones - a woman whose legacy will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
