Billie Harold Mendenhall

Billie Harold Mendenhall was born October 17, 1935 in Springer, NM and died February 27, 2020 in Oxford, NC.?? He was 84 at the time of his death. Billie served his country for 21 years and was honorably discharged in 1978.?? He served in the Uneed States Army during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star for heroism in ground combat against hostile forces in the Republic of Vietnam on July 22, 1970.?? He also worked with Brown and Root Constructions for about 10 years before retiring. Billie was a cowboy, a hero, and beloved father and grandfather. He is preceded ineeath by his parents, Bluford and Opal Mendenhall; his brother, Bob Colgrove; his wife, Beth Mendenhall; his sons, Mickey Mendenhall and Billy Mendenhall; and grandson, Keith Kessler. He is survived by his daughters, Toy (Stan) Blevins; and Cherie (Tim) Irby; stepson, Zane (Anneee) May; stepdaughter, Dobi (Richard) May; daughters-in-law, Kim Mendenhall and Lourie Mendenhall.?? Billie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Blu Mendenhall, Zackary Mendenhall, Chaneer Mendenhall, Brandoneendenhall, Brianeendenhall, Kristi Jolly, Jake Blevins, Thomas Holder, Daniel May, Lisa Martinez, and Katie Early; and 5 great grandchildren, Tyler Mendenhall, Cameroneendenhall, Ryder Mendenhall, Ally Mendenhall and Violet Early. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home and Cemetery, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, TX.
