Blanee Clanton Joines

Blanee Clanton Joines, 86, of Chapel Hill died Monday, February 23, 2009, at the UNC Hospitals. She was born in Iredell County to John Aneew and Carrie Genee Clanton, and was widow of John Elree "Fraley" Joines of Moravian Falls. She was a member of Orange Uneed Methodist Church. Surviving her are two daughters, Carol J. Ludwig and husband Ross of Hillsborough, and Joyce J. Newman of Fountain, NC; a son, Jerry D. Joines and wife Carolyn of Graham; and a granddaughter, Rachel Sivalia of Hillsborough. Funeral services will be conducted at Orange Uneed Methodist Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, by the Reverend D. Ray Warren, Jr. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Joines Family Cemetery in Brocktown, Wilkes County. Family and friends will gather at Miller Funeral Service in North Wilkesboro at 2:30 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery for the service.
