Bobby Ray Owen

Oxford Bobby Ray Owen 72 of Oxford passed away Saturday August 15, 2015. A native of Granville Co son of the late Rufus G Owen and Willie Lee Williams Owen Hite, a Veteran of the US Air Force and a retired Plant Maneer of Uneersal Leaf North America; member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church serving as Deacon, Church Treasurer and various committees of the Church; a member of Adoniram Masonic Lodge # 149 AF&AM. He received associate degrees in Accounting, Business Maneement, and Industrial Arts. He was a leader and servant in his community. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday August 18 2015 at Amis Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Terry Howard and Rev. Earl Dulaney. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. Surviving are, his wife of 51 years Wilma Seate Owen; his son Stephen Gregory Owen of Oxford; brothers George Edward Owen (Pat) and Harold Owen (Denee) both of Burlington; Step ???sister Kathleen Davis of Oxford. Special thanks to Lynette Frazier and Wineee Keranakis of the family. There are several nieces and nephews; and a special canee friend, ???Sophie???. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Amis Chapel Baptist Church building fund 9198 Amis Chapel Rd Oxford NC 27565 Family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 PM Monday at Gentry neell & Vaughan Funeral Home and other times at the home.
