STEM: Burley Benton Adcock, age 80 of 4525 Culbreth Road, Stem, NC died at his home oneednesday, neember 07, 2012. Born in Granville County he was the son of the late Melvineenjamin and Alma Brooks Adcock. He was a member of Hester Baptist Church, a graduate of Oak Hill High School and was an alumnus of North Carolina State Uneersity. He served in the Uneed States Army and was stationed at Elelson Air Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. Burley farmed his entire life raising tobacco, beef cattle, grain and hay. He worked many years at Fo-Acre Warehouse in Roxboro and other warehouses in Roxboro, Oxford and Durham. He served on the Farm Home Administration Board, was Soil and Water District Supervisor for 21 years and a Farm Bureau Director until his death. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, neember 9, 2012 at Mount Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Williams and Rev. Vernon Wilkerson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:45 AM prior to the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Anita Jones Adcock; daughter Kathryn Adcock Fox Glenn; son William Benjamin Adcock Cynthia; brothers, Billy Ray Adcock, Sr. Peggy aneedward Buck Adcock Cornelia; grandchildren, Brandoneerry, Blake Perry, Elizabeth Adcock, Abigail Adcock, and Justin Fox; sister-in-law Mary Catherine Jones Adcock; and brother-in-law Bradley Jones Theresa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded ineeath by his brother Matt Adcock, Sr.; sister Mary Love Adcock; and brother-in-law W. B.
