Carles Louis Fletcher, age 92, died on May 17, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Edd Fletcher and Ollar Self Fletcher. Carles was born in Rush County, Indiana on May 17, 1930.
Carles was a strong man of faith who served as a pastor in the Wesleyan Church for 51 years. Prior to that he spent four years in the US Air Force and was discharged with honors in December 1954.
Carles is survived by his faithful wife of 70 years, Ruth Emerson Fletcher; his daughter, Theresa Charlebois (John); his sister, Viola Zimmerman; his beloved grandson, Clint Fletcher (Michelle); his cherished great grandchildren, Dakota Fletcher, Elijah Fletcher, Stephanie Sherman (Brad), Kyler Mannise, and Ryan Mannise and his precious great, great grandchildren, Brady and Brooke Sherman. He will be deeply missed by numerous loving friends and family.
Carles was predeceased by his parents, and eleven siblings.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 3:00 pm at South Granville Memorial Gardens, Stem, NC and officiated by the Reverend Jeff Hensley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Heartland Hospice in Raleigh, checks should be made payable to:
