Carlton Shuler Loftis

Carlton Shuler Loftis, age 85, died Sunday evening at Duke Hospital following an extended illness. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy B. Loftis, a son, Christopher B. Loftis of Durham, a daughter, Lesley Weaver and husband, Bill of Durham; two grandchildren, William Loftis Weaver aneelizabeth Weaver Dehmer and husband Jeff; two brothers, Alvitt Loftis of Durham and Garland Loftis of Atlanta, GA. Private Family graveside rites will be held 11AM Wednesday in the Pleasant Green Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Wingo will preside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glendale Heights Uneed Methodist Church, 908 Glendale Ave., Durham, NC 27701 or the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, 506 Alexander Ave., Durham, NC 27705.
