Catherine Watts Vaughn

Catherine Watts Vaughn of Pittsboro, NC completed this life's journey on October 18, 2012. Catherine was born in Bangor, ME on October 28, 1940, attended an Episcopal boarding school for girls ineendham, NJ for her highschool and obtained a bachelor's degree in business from Arizona State Uneersity. After careers with Westinghouse in Phoenix, the city of Albuquerque and as a realtor with Coldwell-Banker and Assoc. in Cary, NC she retired to care for her llamas, husband Jim and other animals. She is survived by husband Jim of forty years, her daughter Shaune Mattsson of Portland, OR with her husband Steve, son Chase and daughter Sage; by daughter Diana Mayo and her children Emily and Leo; and by son James of Chaneer, AZ. Memorial services will be held in Pittsboro, NC at the Hall-Wynne Funeral Home on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 4:00 PM. Catherine suggests donations to her favorite charity, Best Friends Animal Society, in lieu of flowers. Interment will be later at the military cemetery in Phoenix, AZ where she will wait with her favorite desert sunsets and cacti until joined by Jim when his time arrives.
