Cathy Hooper Boyd

Cathy Hooper Boyd, 68, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, neember 17, 2014 at home after a lengthy illness. Born January 12, 1946 to the late Walter and Marian Roth Hooper in Staten Island, NY, she has resided in North Carolina for over 40 years. Cathy was a travel agent for over 10 years. Surviving are: her husband, James B. ???Jim??? Boyd of Chapel Hill; a son, Jake Buxton and wife, Lisa of Silver Spring, MD; two daughters, Amy Rose and husband, Doug of Asheville, Megan Cashin and husband, Jeff of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Zoe and Ava Rose, Cece and Luke Cashin, Sam aneevelyn Buxton; two brothers, Tim Hooper of FL, Jon Hooper and wife, Debbie of FL.; a sister, Bronwyn Hooper of Durham. The family will be present 5-7 p.m. Thursday at The Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main St., Durham, where a vigil service will follow at 7 p.m. Cathy???s Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Chapel Hill.
