Cecil Roy McNeill, age 65, died peacefully Saturday night at Duke Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born ineee County on July 29, 1945 to the late Dallas and Alice Patterson McNeill. Cecil was an active and long-time member of St. Paul Uneed Methodist Church where he served as maneer of the church's dartball team. Throughout the years he held neerous positions within the Fellowship Dartball League, and before his recent retirement, Cecil worked as a supervisor for DeHaven's Moving and Traneer Co. for more than 20 years. A man of extraordinary kineess and generosity, Cecil was admired for his strong work ethic by all who knew him. His genee spirit and soft smile earned him many friends throughout his life. Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Jane C. McNeill of Durham, NC; his two sons, Cecil Wayne McNeill of Chatham County; and Charlie McNeill and wife, Laura, also of Durham; his siblings: Judy Douglas of Sanford, NC; Buddy McNeill and wife, Darlene, of Sanford; and Kelly McNeill and wife, Judy, of Wilmington, NC. He was preceded ineeath by his two brothers, Duncan McNeill of Sanford and Russell McNeill of Franklinton. Cecil's funeral ceremony will be held 11:00 AM. Wednesday, September 29, at St. Paul Uneed Methodist Church with the Reverend Mark Stephens presiding. Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home, 1113 W. Main St. in Durham, and other times at the home of Charlie and Laura McNeill. A private cremationeeremony will follow the church service at Hall-Wynne Crematory.
