Charles David Chaneer

Charles David Chaneer left this world peacefully on Sunday, April 22 for his heavenly home, surrounded by his family. Charles was born on August 11, 1971 to Carmen Chaneer and the late Harold Chaneer of Dunn. Charles was a voluneer at Wellness Recovery Center in Durham where he touched the lives of many people. Charles worked as a substance abuse counselor for Durham County Recovery Center. His compassion and love for the community inspired everyone he encountered. He is survived by his mother Carmen Chaneer of Aneer, sister Christina Tart and husband Sammy Tart of Dunn, brothers Robert Chaneer of Davidson, Michael Chaneer and wife Marilyn of Apex. Nieces and nephews: Caitlan Mae Tart of Charleston, S.C., Dylan Tart of Dunn N.C., Garrett, Arden, Bailey, Camryn aneethan Chaneer of Davidson, N.C. and Tristan, Gavin, Xander and Charlie Chaneer of Apex. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, April 28, 2018 from The Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Hall-Wynne.
