Charles Edward Brown

DURHAM-Charles Edward Brown, 84, died Saturday, April 4th at Duke Uneersity Hospital in Durham. He was born neember 1, 1930 to the late William Patrick Brown and Carrie Aneews Brown in Durham, Charles retired as an HVAC Supervisor from UNC Chapel Hill. He was a Deacon, Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher and Trustee at Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Durham. Charles is survived by his wife, Peggy Gooch Brown of Durham; two sons, Tommy Brown and wife, Kelly of Durham, Eddie Brown and wife, Becky of Semora; a daughter, Debbie Brown of Rougemont; four grandchildren, Will, Katie, Evan and Stacey Brown; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Landon and Carter Brown. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 549 Erwin Road, Durham with the Rev. Bob Weatherly and Rev. Jimmy Bland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
