Charles Franklin Stewart

Charles Franklin Stewart, Jr. died Thursday evening August 2, 2007 in Nags Head, NC. He was 89 years old. Mr. Stewart was born ineebane, NC to the late Charles and Lula Ann Wray Stewart. Prior to his employment at Liggett Myers for nearly 35 years, Mr. Stewart proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Stewart is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Novaline S. Stewart of Durham, NC; his two children: Charles Ronee Stewart, Sr. and wife, Alice, of Manteo, NC; Jo Ann Stewart Rhew of Bahama, NC; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 7, at the Durham Primitive Baptist Church on Pacific Ave. near the Teer House. Interment will follow in the mausoleum at Woodlawneemorial Park. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
