Christine Mciver Clark

Mrs. Christine McIver Clark, 87, of Pittsboro, died December 31, 2008 at her residence. A Chatham County native, Christine was born March 1, 1921 to Julian and Lina Thomas McIver. Christine was employed as an ineector for Chatham Mills, and following that she worked at UNC Hospital, did occasional catering, various floral work, and childcare at Robyn's Nest. She was a member of Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Valinda and Shannon Clark of Pittsboro; a grand-daughter, Christie Cook and husband James; and a great-grandson, Christian Cook. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Bob Wachs, Rev. Ray Gooch, and Rev. Steve Moore at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 3, 2009 from Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 8 pm Friday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro.
