Christopher J. Dodson

Christopher James Dodson, 47, died Friday surrounded by family and friends in Duke Hospital after a brief illness. Chris was born October 17, 1962 in Apex. A graduate of Northern High School, he served in the US Navy in the early 1980's. Chris was employed at EMC as a team leader. He was an avid reader and a collector of comic books. A devoted father, Chris enjoyed sharing his love of music and movies with his son. Chris is survived by his wife, Kelly Eggleston Dodson; his son, Galen Owen Dodson; his mother Rebecca Dodson of Durham; and many unees, aunts, cousins and friends who will miss him greatly. A service of remembrance will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday in Watts Street Baptist Church. A brief reception will follow. Ineeeping with Chris's generosity, as an organ donor he has been able to give the gift of life to others.
