Claytoneearliman Marshall

Mr. Claytoneearliman Marshall, 91, formerly of Marshall Road, Pittsboro, died February 24, 2009 at Blue Ridge Health Care Center in Raleigh. Mr. Marshall was born in Chatham County oneecember 7, 1917, the son of H.M. and May Lutterloh Marshall. He was educated in Chatham County, and following graduation from high school, he was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock, where he retired as a welding supervisor. Mr. Marshall was a long time, faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Doug Marshall of Raleigh; daughter, Diane Turner of Raleigh; brother, John Marshall of Pittsboro; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Marshall was preceded ineeath by his parents, his wife Carlene Curl Marshall, a daughter, Denee, and a brother, Wallace. The service to celebrate Mr. Marshall's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 27, 2009 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with Rev. Shelby Stephens presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service. Memorials may be directed to the "Senior Adult Ministry" of Mt.
