Durham, N.C. – Colleen Marie Trempe, age 31, died at Duke Medical Center on March 3, 2023. She was born on March 31, 1991, to Robert Trempe and the late Diane (Swift) Trempe.
Colleen was born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and spent the first two years of her life at Osan Air Base, South Korea. She grew up in Burke Virginia. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University graduating with a major in Jazz Performance. From an early age, Colleen was a talented trombonist performing with numerous school and civic orchestras and groups. Pursuing her passion as a performer, she found her musical home with the Audacity Brass Band.
Colleen is survived by her father Robert, sister Sarah, and fiancé Nick Gammon and his family, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her many friends and fans. Colleen was preceded in death by her mother Diane her grandparents and her uncle Henry.
A Celebration of Colleen’s Life will be held at 11:00 am April 1st at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond Virginia.
