Dan Vickers Noblin, age 83, died on February 22, 2021 at Duke Medical Center. He was the son of the late Robert Marsh Noblin and M. Maude Breedlove. Dan was born in Granville County on June 25, 1937.
Dan was a man of faith and deep work ethic. He loved his Church and the Will Hicks Bible Class. He loved a good game when the New York Yankees or the Washington Redskins or the Carolina Tarheels played. Dan worked for Certainteed in the scale house in Oxford for many years and at Oxford Implement as a Sales and Accounts Manager and assisted with the caring of Meadowview Memorial Park. He was a loving father and took wonderful care of his family.
Dan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Noblin; his children, Dan Vickers Noblin, Jr. (Terri) and Donna Marie Noblin West (Ricky); his grandchildren, Dan Vickers Noblin, III, Madison West (Kelly) and Everett West (Wararat); his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Lana. He will also be deeply missed by loving friends and family too numerous to name.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his 5 siblings, Paul, Robert, Christine, Josephine and Ida Mae.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Meadowview Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Jenny Wilson. The family welcomes any visitors after the service. Please utilize masks and social distancing to protect all the family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in his honor to the Will Hicks Men’s Class at Oxford United Methodist Church.
