Danal Lee Hunt

Danal Lee Hunt, age 76, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in his Durham home surrounded by his loving family. A Durham native, he was born to the late Wilmer L. Hunt, Sr. and Nellie Long Hunt on neember 15, 1936. Dan was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Aneer Ave. Baptist Church. He worked as a field engineer for IBM where he retired in 1993 and later worked for Security Electric for eight years. Dan is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Donna Martin Hunt of Durham; his five children, Conee Hunt Reeves and husband, Harrell, of Timberlake; Linda C. Hunt of Franklin, NC; William L. Hunt, Sr. and wife, Michelle, of Timberlake; Amy E. Hunt of Franklin, TN; and Beth M. Hunt of Durham; his brother, W.L. Hunt, Jr. and wife, Myrtle, of Hillsborough; his sisters, Geraldine Bumpass and husband, Jesse, of Durham; and Peggy Hunt Tilley of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his special and devoted friends, Chris Richardson, Jordan Griffin and Leah Harrington. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with the Reverend Hugh O'Shields presiding. Burial will follow in Woodlawneemorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham.
