David H. Strickland

David H. Strickland, 48, of Stem, NC, died Saturday , neember 15, 2008 at Duke Uneersity Medical Center. David grew up in Franklinton and was the son of Alvin A. Strickland and the late Helen May Strickland. David attended Franklinton High School and graduated from N. C. State Uneersity with a degree in Forestry aneenvironmental Science. For the last 18 years, he has been employed by Veolia Environmental Services. David was an active and vital member of St. Gregory's Anglican Church. He will be remembered as a person that loved life and you are blessed to have known him. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Anna Vail Strickland; his father, Alvin A. Strickland of Franklinton; one brother, Eddy Strickland and wife, Gene of Warrenton, two nieces, one nephew and one great niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Home, Durham, NC. Fr. Steven B. Clark will preside. Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday in the Buie's Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery, Buie's Creek, NC.
