David Milton Fogleman, age 77 years old, died at his home surrounded by family on June 9, 2020. Born in Person County to the late Henry C. Fogleman and Nannie Lunsford Fogleman on April 6, 1943, he made a life in Person and Granville County.
Milton was a true businessman with a deep work ethic. He was part owner of Mangum’s Store where he worked many years; along with owning and operating Fogleman’s Carwash and Broad Street Laundry. He met and married his wife, Linda Mangum Fogleman and they shared 52 years together. He and his wife loved to spend time together at their beach home in Cherry Grove, South Carolina and adored being with family, friends and beloved grandchildren.
Milton is survived by his children, David “Ted” Fogleman and Melissa Dunn of Rougemont, NC and Tracie F. Tate and Jeff of Henderson, NC; his grandchildren, Kendell, Andrew, Ava and Peyton. He is also survived by his siblings, James Fogleman, Lawrence Fogleman, Claude Fogleman, Shirley Huff, Betty Jean Mangum and Bernice Fox. He is survived by many extended family too numerous to name and he will be missed by many friends and family.
Predeceased by his parents; his wife, Linda; and his brothers, Gilbert Fogleman and Bernard Fogleman.
The family wishes a special thank you to the family caregiver, Dorothy Snow and her daughter, Donnie Long.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Atkinson officiating. Burial to follow in the church’s cemetery.
