David Robertson Sugg, Jr.

David Robertson Sugg, Jr., 62, died December 6, 2009. A native of Nash County, NC, he was borneebruary 2, 1947, the son of David Sugg, Sr., and Phoebe Jane Harris Sugg. A US Navy veteran, he served on the USS Sunfish submarine in the Atlantic Fleet during the Viet Nam war. David had lived in Apex since the early 1970's, and in Chatham County for the past 10 years. He was the owner/operator of David Sugg Plumbing of Apex. Survivors include his daughters, Jenneer Sugg of Bynum and Amy Sugg Burke of Pittsboro; his sister, Phoebe Jane Sugg Wahab of Bath; a step-grandchild; and his former wife of 25 years, Carol Payne of Bynum. David was pre-deceased by his parents and a brother, Edgar Sugg. A memorial service to celebrate the life of David Sugg will be held at Grace Point Church, 1089 East Street, in Pittsboro at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 16, 2010 by Pastor Terry Dorsey.
