Deneaize H. Bennett

Deneaize Hortoneennett, age 82, died peacefully ineer Durham home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was born in Granville County to the late Eddie ???Jake??? Horton aneestelle Adcock Horton. Deneaize was a founding member of Aldersgate Uneed Methodist Church and a charter member since 1956. She was employed with the Herald-Sun for 31 years. Deneaize is survived by her brother, Joe Horton of Butner, NC; her sister-in-law, Jackie Bennett of Durham; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Robert L. Bennett; and her sister, Eddie Lou Tilley. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, at Aldersgate Uneed Methodist Church with the Rev. Tara Lain presiding. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service in the church from 10 a.m. ??? 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Aldersgate Uneed Methodist Church, 1320 Umstead Rd., Durham, NC 27712; or Duke Community Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Durham, NC 27704.
