Diane Lea Wood Rosati

Diane Lea Wood Rosati, age 76, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Duke Medical Center. She was born ineest Hartford, CT to the late Charles and Camille Mathieu Wood. While she grew up ineew York, she made North Carolina her home in the early 1960s and neer left. She was a treasured friend to many, always ready to lend a hand and support those ineeed. Her kineess, generosity and compassion touched many lives, while her quick wit and happy smile brightened the world around her. Her delight ineeing a devoted mother extended far beyond her three children and there are many who delight in having been able to call her Mom. Also a loving sister, aunt and friend, it was as grandmother that she was at her best. It has been said by all that knew her that no matter what life threw at her, she neer complained. She was resolved to live life in the fullest pursuit of mitigating the suffering of all around her. She will remaineeep in the hearts of the many who love her. Diane is survived by her three children: Ken Rosati and wife, Anne, of Durham, NC; Christopher Rosati and wife, Anna, also of Durham; and Robbin Gossman of Bel Air, MD; her brother, Gordon Wood; her sister, Charlene Budich; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. William McConville presiding. Following Mass Diane???s body will be cremated at Hall-Wynne Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders, USA, or St. Anthony???s Guild ineew York, NY.
