Doris Elvin Waddell Smith

Doris Elvin Waddell Smith, 97, died on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Doris was born in Randolph, VA to the late Samuel Thomas and Myrtle Edwards Waddell oneebruary 17, 1915. Doris was a loving mother and friend to anyone that she had the opportunity to come in contact with. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and was a charter member of Homestead Heights Baptist Church. "She was a loving woman that would do anything to put a smile on the faces of her family and friends. Doris is survived by her daughter Sandra Beeker and husband Allen of Durham, NC; son Roy B. Smith, Jr. of Roam Mountain, TN; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Doris was preceded ineeath by her husband of fifty two years Roy B. Smith. A funeral service will be offered 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Durham. Friends may visit from 6:00 8:00 on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701 and other times at the home of David and Debi Beeker in Rougemont, NC.
