Dorothy Brown Miller

Mrs. Jesse L. Dorothy Brown Miller, 100, of Pittsboro Christian Village died March 31, 2008 at Pittsboro Christian Village. Mrs. Miller was born April 15, 1908 in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of Herb Brown and Susie Luberg Hubbard Brown. She moved to North Carolina in 1946 and taught school for 31 years in Sanford and Pittsboro. Mrs. Miller was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church. Surviving are a step-son, Jack Miller of Grand Island NE; step-daughters, Mary Deitrich of Hastings, NE, Betty Hill of Grand Island, NE, and Phyllis Newman of Pensacola, FL; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 3, 2009 in the Auditorium of Pittsboro Christian Village with Mr. James Clark presiding. Interment will follow in Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City. Friends may visit in the parlor of Pittsboro Christian Village from 1:30 until the funeral hour.
