Dorothy Cartner Perry

Dorothy Cartner Perry, 92, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, Borneebruary 26, 1923 to the late Roy Graham Cartner and Pearl Heneey Cartner, she was a life resident of Durham. Dot was a longtime member of Aldersgate Uneed Methodist Church in Durham. She worked for many years at Durham Hosiery Mill and Seaman Printery. Dot was preceded ineeath by her husband, James Elmo Perry Jr. in 2006 as well as a brother and two sisters. Surviving are: a son, Larry Perry and wife, Janet of Durham; three step children, Jimmy Perry and wife, Gloria of Durham, Linda Perry-Autry and husband, Robert of Durham, Gene Perry and wife, Terry of Durham; ten grandchildren and seveneen grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 12 P.M. Wednesday at Aldersgate Uneed Methodist Church, 1320 Umstead Rd, Durham. The family will receive friends, one hour prior, from 11 A.M.- 12 P.M. Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Durham. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Aldersgate UMC. The family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham.
