Dorothy Harris Thompson

Mrs. Dorothy Harris Thompson, 84 formerly of Mann's Chapel Road, died peacefully at The Laurels of Chatham on Tuesday, February 17, 2008. Mrs. Thompson was a native of Chatham County, born March 11, 1924, one of five children to Will and Mary Herndon Harris. She was educated in Chatham County schools, and was employed by Carr Mill for a number of years. Mrs. Thompson was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Uneed Methodist Church. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Linwood Hilda Potts of Durham; nephews and a niece. Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Earl; brothers Frank and Wes Harris; and sister, Louise Mann. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 20 at Mt. Pleasant Uneed Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service. Memorials may be sent to Mt.
