Dorothy Lois Hunt

Hunt is the daughter of the late Mrs. Nina Ozelle Davis Hunt and Mr. Sherman Lewis Hunt and the wife of Samuel "Bo Hunt. Dorothy Lois Hunt was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, a local farmer and vendor with Buckhorn Flea Market and Oxford Farmers Market and a Homemaker. Surviving family are her daughters Audrey Brogden of Graham, NC and Barbara Blalock of Hillsborough, NC; her son, Nathan Hunt (Nancy) of Oxford, NC ; her sisters Madeline Freeman (Willie Lee), Virginia Blackwell (Wayln), Mildred Watson and Rebecca Goss (Edward); 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy Lois Hunt was preceded in death by her sisters Ozelle Dement, Janie Clayton, Josephine Hunt and her brother, Bobby Hunt. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 2:00 pm 3:00 pm at Gentry-Newell and Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel and burial at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will also be receiving visitors at the home. Arrangements for the Hunt family are being handled by Gentry Newell - Vaughan Funeral Home of Oxford.
