Earl F. Fagan

July 28, 1934 — April 2, 2022

(Raleigh) – Earl Fredrick Fagan, age 87, died at home with his family surrounding him with Love on April 2, 2022. He was born on July 28, 1934 to the late William Fagan and Agnus Fagan (Kilgore).


 


Earl Heroically served his country during the Korean War and was awarded both the Silver Star and Bronze Star.  After returning from the war he worked at Sylvan Seal Dairy in Philadelphia Pa., then Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Conshohocken Pa, and finally retiring from A&P Dairy in Fort Washington Pa.  He was always a proud and active member in the Labor Unions where he worked.


 


Earl was a 32nd Degree Mason and lived by their core values -Reverence to God, Devotion to Country, Justice, Tolerance, and Service to Humanity.  He was also proud of his Irish heritage and Philadelphia roots.  Born and raised in South Philadelphia he always had a passion for his family, especially his seven grandchildren, cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, and his beloved Eagles!  One of the joys in his life was watching them finally win a Super Bowl in 2018!


 


After he moved to North Carolina in September 2011 he became a member of St. Philip Lutheran Church on 7304 Falls of Neuse Rd. Raleigh, North Carolina.


 


Earl is survived by his Daughter Kelly and her Husband Alfred Martin and their 3 children Madison, Alexander, and Jillian, and his Son Michael Fagan and his wife Catalina and his four children Lauren and her husband Donnie Parker, Jordan, Michael Jr. and Taylor. He is also survived by countless nieces who loved him dearly. Earl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years Barbara Ann Fagan.  He was also preceded in death by his parents William Fagan, and Agnus Ferguson, as well as his brother William Fagan, and three sisters Peggy Lafferty, Helen Ferguson, and Lidie Paul.


 


A funeral service will be held for Earl at St. Philip Lutheran Church on Saturday May 7th at 11:00 am and will be available via Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/480739190  with a reception to follow from 12:00 noon till 2:00pm in the fellowship Hall with light refreshments for all attending. All are welcome.


 


 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Families Together at https://familiestogethernc.org/general-donation, to help fight homelessness and hunger in the Raleigh Durham area in honor of Earls life and a testimony of what can be accomplished with the right support.
