Allie Elizabeth Clark Hunt, age 88, died Saturday in Duke Hospital. A native of Chatham County, she was the daughter of Clem J. and Mollie Bell Cash Clark. Mrs. Hunt was raised in Durham and was a graduate of Braggtown High School in 1936. She had been a member of Grey Stone Baptist Church, and during childhood attended Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Mrs. Hunt will be remembered for her love of family and steadfast devotion to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Thomas M. Sally Hunt, Jr. of Bullock; and Kenneth A. Emily Hunt of Charlotte; a brother Fred Clark of Colleen, TX and sister, Bobbie Clark Ben Riggs of Durham; grandchildren, Kimberley Matthews, Christopher Hunt, Kenneth Hunt, Jr., Timothy Hunt aneemily Elizabeth Hunt Misenheimer; 7 great grandchildren; and a special friend of many years, Charles Regan. She was preceded ineeath by her husband Thomas M. Hunt and her brothers, C.J., William and Thomas L. Clark. A graveside funeral will be held 11:00 Tuesday in the cemetery of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff McCarthy officiating. Friends may visit in the church parlor one hour prior to services. Arrangements are with Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the cemetery fund of Rose of Sharon Church.
