Elizabeth "Libby" New Davis

Elizabeth "Libby" New Davis, 70, of Sanford, crossed into Heaven on June 28, 2013. Libby was born neember 22, 1942 in King and Queen County, VA, to Marshall Carl New, Sr. and Mary Kathleen Powers New. She lived in Rocky Mount, NC and attended local schools. Libby was married to Aneew Allen Davis and together they raised five children. In 1982, they moved to Emerald Isle, NC where they became local business owners. In 2002, they relocated to Chatham County and she continued her book keeping business for many years. Libby loved her family more than anythineelse in the world. She also enjoyed gardening, antiquing and attendineestate auctions. She will be fondly remembered for her big smile, tuff grit and "matter of fact" attitude. Libby's memory will be cherished by her family and friends. Libby was preceded ineeath by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Aneew Allen Davis, of the home; her daughter, Donna Tillerson & husband Scott of Apex, NC; her sons, Steve Davis, of Moncure, NC, Eric Davis & wife, Linda of Rocky Mount, Butch Davis & wife, Wendy of Rocky Mount, and Alex Davis & wife, Susan of Sanford; her brother, M.C. New Jr. & wife Ann, of Rocky Mount; her sister, Jeanette Riddle & husband, Ben of Morganton, NC; her eight grandchildren, Karah & husband John, Brady & wife, Justine, Graham, Chelsea, Seth, Hayden, Drew and Corbin; as well as her four great-grandchildren, Logan, Isabel, Waylon and Brooks. The memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Elizabeth Anneew Davis will be held at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening, July 2, 2013 at Hall Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro, NC.
