Elizabeth "Lizzie" Currin

OXFORD: Lizzie Currin, passed away Thursday, April 11 at the age of 99. Miss Currin, a twin, was born on April 27, 1913. She was one of 10 children born to Mary Pitts Currin and William A. Currin. Miss Currin was a lifetime resident of Oxford, a graduate of Oxford High School, and lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church. In addition to managing and working her family farm, Miss Currin worked for many years at Leggetts Department Store. Her interests included needlework, ceramics, gardening and playing the piano. Miss Currin is survived by five nieces and a nephew, their spouses, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the services in the church fellowship Hall.
